An average rim and tyre costs around $350 to replace, but if you have fancy mags or low profiles tyres, you could be up for as much as $1000 per wheel! And there’s no getting around it - without them, you’re going nowhere, so if they’re damaged you HAVE to get them fixed.

Unfortunately, regular vehicle insurances - like comprehensive - don’t cover damaged tyres and rims. But you can still buy some peace of mind…

What AHG Tyre and Rim Insurance covers

• Tyres punctured or damaged by a pothole, kerb, nail, screw, metal, piece of glass, road debris or blowout. We’ll fix or replace them up to $350 per tyre.
• Wheel rims cracked, warped or misshapen by a pothole, kerb, nail, screw, metal, piece of glass, road debris or blowout. We’ll fix or replace them up to $1000 per wheel.
• Up to $120 to have you towed to the nearest AHG Dealership, repairer or place of safety, if there’s no spare wheel or tyre in your vehicle at the time.
